Cook Hi-myeon
Hi-myeon’s boiled udon noodles were first introduced in 1974.
During its peak years in 1979 and 1981, Hi-myeon became a nationwide favorite, selling up to 7,000 boxes per day (40 packs per box). When first released, the product won the Gold Prize at the Consumers’ Choice Awards hosted by Consumers magazine. Hi-myeon was Korea’s first fresh udon noodles, and in the 1980s, TV host Song Hae’s famous commercial line “Let’s Cook Hi-myeon!” became a nationwide catchphrase.
Currently, seaweed-flavored udon, seafood-flavored udon, and fish cake udon are produced.
